How the MCP integration works, what it costs, and what you can create with it.
What is MCP (Model Context Protocol)?
MCP is an open standard, introduced by Anthropic, that lets AI assistants securely connect to external tools. The Shhots MCP server exposes our creative engine as tools your assistant can call, so you can ask Claude or ChatGPT to generate UGC ads, cinematic videos, and product photos without leaving the chat.
Which AI assistants work with the Shhots MCP server?
At launch, the Shhots MCP server works with Claude (web, desktop, and Claude Code) and ChatGPT. You connect once by pasting the server URL into your assistant’s connector settings. Support for more MCP clients is on the way.
What can I create through the MCP integration?
Everything the Shhots app generates: AI UGC ads with avatars in 12 languages, cinematic ads and AI videos, and AI images and product photoshoots. You describe what you want in plain language and the finished assets are saved to your Shhots workspace.
Do I need an API key or any code to set it up?
No code and no API key management. You need a Shhots account on the Pro or Scale plan, then you paste the MCP server URL into your assistant’s connector settings and sign in to authorize it. Setup takes about a minute.
Which plans include the MCP integration?
The MCP server is included on the Pro plan ($49/month, 6,000 credits) and the Scale plan ($99/month, 12,000 credits). There is no extra fee for using Shhots through MCP.
Does generating through MCP use my normal credits?
Yes. MCP generations draw from the same monthly credit pool as the Shhots app, at the same rates. Nothing is billed separately, and your assistant only spends credits when you explicitly ask it to generate.
How is the MCP server different from the Shhots Model APIs?
The MCP server is for chat: you create ads by talking to your AI assistant, with no code. The Model APIs are for developers who want to call Shhots programmatically from their own products and pipelines. Same engine, two ways in.
Is my data secure?
Yes. The connection is authorized through your Shhots account, your assistant only accesses the tools you have connected, and generations run in your own workspace. You can disconnect the server from your client’s settings at any time.
