Creatify vs Arcads 2026 comparison: pricing, credits and real cost per video ad

Creatify vs Arcads 2026: 7 Differences + Real Cost Per Video

In Creatify vs Arcads, Creatify is dramatically cheaper per finished ad — roughly $1.95 versus $11.00 for a 15-second video — and it publishes its prices, which Arcads does not. Arcads counters with a far deeper model catalogue and a bigger actor library. The catch on Creatify’s side: credits expire after two months and its refund policy states that payments are final.

Pricing verified 9 August 2026. We re-check every price in this post quarterly and update the date above.

Before you compare this against anything else you’ve read: almost every Creatify vs Arcads page currently ranking quotes Creatify at $33 and $49. Those were the old prices. The live figures as of 9 August 2026 are $39 and $99 — a roughly 100% increase at the Pro tier that most of the internet hasn’t caught up with.

Creatify vs Arcads on cost per video

This is the whole comparison, so it’s worth doing carefully.

Creatify’s credit rule

Creatify’s help centre states it plainly: AI video ads, avatar videos and shorts cost 5 credits for every 15 seconds of video, rounded up. Revisions cost 3 credits per 15 seconds, waived on Pro and above if you haven’t changed the script, avatar or voice. Ad Clone bills at 1 credit per second. Text-to-speech is 2 credits.

Cost per credit: $0.390 on Starter ($39 ÷ 100), $0.330 on Pro ($99 ÷ 300). So:

Ad lengthCreditsStarterProVideos/month (Starter)Videos/month (Pro)
15 seconds5$1.95$1.652060
30 seconds10$3.90$3.301030
60 seconds20$7.80$6.60515

The free plan’s 10 credits buy two 15-second videos, watermarked and locked to 9:16.

Arcads’ credit rule

Arcads bills talking-actor video at 800 credits per minute, per actor, with length “always rounded up.” At the reported Starter rate — $110 for 8,000 credits, or $0.01375 per credit — that’s $11.00 per video regardless of length, up to a minute.

What that means

At 15 seconds, Creatify is 5.6× cheaper than Arcads. At 30 seconds, 2.8× cheaper. At 60 seconds the gap narrows to about 1.4×, and if you’re putting two actors in one Arcads video, Creatify becomes cheaper still.

The shorter your ads, the more Creatify vs Arcads becomes a one-sided comparison on price. Since most UGC ads run 15–30 seconds, that matters more than the headline $39-versus-$110 gap suggests.

The Creatify credit rule everyone misses

Here’s something we haven’t seen written anywhere else, and it’s worth knowing before you pick a plan.

Creatify’s API bills at half the rate its app does.

From Creatify’s API billing docs: URL-to-video, AI Avatar and custom template video all cost 5 credits per 30 seconds. In the app, the same output costs 5 credits per 15 seconds.

The API tiers are also cheaper per credit: $99 for 500 credits ($0.198 each) and $299 for 2,000 ($0.1495 each), versus $0.390 and $0.330 in the app.

Put together, a 30-second avatar video costs 5 credits on the API — about $0.99 on API Starter or $0.75 on API Pro — against $3.30–$3.90 in the app. That’s a 3–5× difference for the same output.

Two caveats. Ad Clone inverts the pattern (12 credits per 5 seconds on the API versus 1 credit per second in the app), so check the endpoint you’ll actually use. And the API is a separate subscription, not an add-on to your app plan.

Also worth correcting: several pages ranking for Creatify comparisons state that API access is Enterprise-only. It isn’t — it’s self-serve, and the pricing is public.

Diagram showing Creatify's app bills 5 credits per 15 seconds while its API bills 5 credits per 30 seconds

7 differences that actually matter

1. Price transparency. Creatify publishes monthly pricing and API pricing. Arcads publishes neither — arcads.ai/pricing returned a 404 when we checked on 9 August 2026. Neither publishes verifiable annual figures; Creatify advertises “up to 50% off” annual behind a client-side toggle that renders no numbers to a crawler.

2. URL-to-video. Creatify turns a product URL straight into a video ad. Arcads has no equivalent. For ecommerce teams with a large catalogue, this is a genuine workflow difference, not a feature-list tick.

3. Ad platform tooling. Creatify’s Pro tier includes an AI Media Buyer covering Meta, Google, TikTok and AppLovin. Arcads has nothing comparable. Neither, to be clear, replaces a media buyer — but only one of them touches the ad platforms at all.

4. Model depth. Arcads wins clearly. Eleven video models including Sora 2, Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0, plus eight image models and three talking-actor engines. Creatify advertises 50+ premium models on Starter and 100+ on Pro without naming most of them.

5. Actor library. Arcads advertises 1,000+ actors on every tier. Creatify gives 300 on Free and Starter, unlocking 1,500 plus three custom avatars on Pro. If actor variety is your testing strategy, Creatify’s entry tier is limiting.

6. Credit expiry. Creatify credits last two months and carry across plan changes. Arcads credits reset monthly with no rollover on Starter and Creator. Creatify’s terms are meaningfully more forgiving here.

7. Refunds. Creatify’s policy states that “payments are final and non-refundable” because access is instant, with no money-back guarantee and no stated window. Arcads at least publishes 24-hour, 7-day and 30-day windows, all conditional on zero credit usage. Neither is generous; Creatify’s is stricter on paper.

Creatify vs Arcads on reputation

Creatify holds 4.8/5 across 1,667 reviews on G2. A 4.8 across that many reviews on a mid-market AI tool usually indicates an active review-solicitation programme, so the more useful signal is G2’s own aggregated dislike clusters:

ComplaintReviews mentioning
Credit issues, especially with newer models demanding more credits76
Credit limitations restricting project completion76
Expensive, especially with newer models71
Insufficient credits hampering project completion65
Slow rendering59
Pricing structure unclear57

Dated reviewer quotes reinforce it: “the credit system can feel limiting when you need to make small adjustments” (June 2026), “credits run out quickly when creating and testing different video variations” (March 2026), and recurring notes on imperfect lip-sync and mechanical voiceover pacing.

Arcads sits at roughly 3.0–3.3 on Trustpilot across ~150 reviews with a sharply polarised distribution, and has no G2 listing at all. Complaints cluster on unexpected charges, refused refunds and slow support. More in our Arcads AI review.

Two honest caveats on this section. Creatify’s Trustpilot profile could not be verified — Trustpilot blocks automated access — so we’re not quoting a score. And we found no indexed Reddit discussion of Creatify in any search formulation, so any Creatify vs Arcads page quoting “Reddit users” is worth checking for an actual link.

One more thing to know: Creatify discontinued AI Shorts, Product Video and Video Translation at the end of May 2026. Comparison pages listing those as current features are stale.

How to test Creatify vs Arcads without wasting money

The evaluation costs are wildly asymmetric here, which changes the sensible order of operations.

Start with Creatify’s free plan. Ten credits gets you two 15-second videos, watermarked and locked to 9:16. That’s genuinely enough to answer the important question — does the avatar and lip-sync quality clear your bar? Use both credits on the same script with two different actors so you’re comparing like for like. Note that the free tier only exposes 300 actors and locks the Aurora model, so you’re evaluating a floor rather than a ceiling.

If it passes, buy one month of Starter, not Pro. $39 buys 100 credits — twenty 15-second ads. That’s a real test batch. Generate ten variants in your first session, look at them the same day, and decide. Because Creatify’s refund policy states payments are final, there’s no value in deliberating; the money is spent the moment you subscribe.

Only escalate to Pro if you hit a specific wall. The three walls worth $99 are: needing more than 300 actors, needing videos over two minutes, or needing the AI Media Buyer for Meta, Google, TikTok and AppLovin. If none of those apply, Starter’s credit budget is the constraint, and the API at $99 for 500 credits is better value than Pro at $99 for 300.

Test Arcads last, and only if Creatify’s ceiling isn’t high enough. There’s no free tier, so entry is a full month at a reported $110. Two protections: audit the actor library and presets before generating anything, because the change-of-mind refund window is 24 hours and only valid at zero credits used; and set a reminder four days before renewal, because cancellation requires 72 hours’ notice.

Compare on cost per usable ad, not per render. If a third of your generations are unusable — roughly what one hands-on Arcads reviewer reported — the effective cost isn’t $11, it’s closer to $16. Run the same maths on Creatify. A cheap render with a poor hit rate can lose to an expensive one with a good hit rate, and Creatify vs Arcads is close enough on quality reports that this is a real possibility in either direction.

Use one script, one product, one length across both. Most comparisons you’ll read don’t, which is why they disagree.

Creatify vs Arcads: which should you pick?

Pick Creatify if cost per ad is your constraint, your ads run 15–30 seconds, you want URL-to-video for a catalogue, you want to try before paying, or you’re building on an API and want published rates. At $1.95 per 15-second ad it’s one of the cheapest credible options in the category.

Pick Arcads if you need the deepest model catalogue, the largest actor library available on every tier, or Workflows-grade batch automation — and you can accept an unpublished price and per-minute billing.

Pick neither if you need reliable product-in-hand footage. Neither tool is strong there; both are avatar-first platforms.

Where Shhots AI fits

We compete with both, so treat this as positioning — but the numbers are published and checkable.

Shhots starts at $19/month for 2,000 credits. A 10-second UGC ad costs 551 credits and a 15-second one costs 826, working out to $6.33 per ad on Starter and $4.71 on Scale. Product images cost 11 credits plus one analysis credit, so the $19 plan covers up to 175 images a month.

Where we’re honestly not the cheapest: Creatify beats us on raw cost per avatar video. $1.95 for a 15-second ad is lower than anything we offer, and if that’s the only metric that matters, Creatify wins it.

Where we’re different: we start from a product photo, not a script or a URL, and produce UGC video, cinematic ads, studio product photography and static image ads from the same input. Captions are unlimited and free, every plan carries a full commercial licence, and annual plans carry unused credits within the year rather than expiring them at two months.

FAQ

Is Creatify cheaper than Arcads?

Substantially, for short ads. A 15-second video costs about $1.95 on Creatify’s $39 Starter plan versus roughly $11.00 on Arcads. The gap narrows at 60 seconds, where Creatify is about $7.80 and Arcads is still $11.00.

How much does Creatify cost in 2026?

Creatify’s live pricing as of 9 August 2026 is $39/month for Starter (100 credits) and $99/month for Pro (300 credits, scaling to 5,000). There’s a free plan with 10 credits. Separate API plans run $99 and $299. Most comparison pages still quote the older $33 and $49 figures.

Which is better for UGC ads, Creatify or Arcads?

Arcads has the deeper actor library and model catalogue, which suits high-volume face testing. Creatify is far cheaper per ad, includes URL-to-video and has ad-platform tooling. If budget per test is the constraint, Creatify; if creative variety is, Arcads.

Does Creatify have a free plan?

Yes. Creatify’s free plan gives 10 credits a month — about two 15-second videos — with a watermark, 9:16 aspect ratio only, and a single seat. Credits are valid for two months. Arcads has no free video tier.

Do Creatify credits expire?

Yes, after two months. Unused credits also carry across plan changes rather than being forfeited. That’s more generous than Arcads, whose Starter and Creator credits reset monthly with no rollover.

Can you get a refund from Creatify?

Its published policy states that payments are final and non-refundable, because access is granted immediately. There’s no money-back guarantee and no stated refund window. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing cycle.

Does Creatify have an API?

Yes, and it’s self-serve rather than Enterprise-only, despite what several comparison pages claim. API Starter is $99/month for 500 credits and API Pro is $299 for 2,000. The API also bills at 5 credits per 30 seconds versus 5 per 15 seconds in the app.

How many AI actors does Creatify have?

300 on the Free and Starter plans, rising to 1,500 plus three custom avatars on Pro. Arcads advertises 1,000+ across tiers, though third-party reporting suggests its library is also tier-gated.

Which has better output quality?

Neither is consistently better and both draw quality complaints. Creatify reviewers cite imperfect lip-sync on certain words and mechanical voiceover pacing. Arcads reviewers report sync drift on fast scripts and roughly 30% of actors showing visible AI tells. Use Creatify’s free plan to judge one, and budget a month to judge the other.

Final take

Creatify vs Arcads is unusually lopsided once you price it properly. Creatify is roughly five times cheaper on the ad length people actually run, publishes what it charges, offers a free plan to evaluate it, and throws in URL-to-video and ad-platform tooling. Arcads answers with a deeper model catalogue and a bigger actor library — real advantages, but narrow ones.

The things to weigh against Creatify are the credit-burn complaints in its own G2 reviews and a refund policy with no window at all. Read the full Creatify pricing breakdown before you commit to a tier.

And if your ads start from a product photo rather than a script, it’s worth comparing both against the AI ad generator we built for exactly that.
